Excellence.

We believe that success is no accident. Every member of our team, every part of the process, and every newly gained insight matters in meeting the standards of high quality specialty coffee. That’s why we consistently invest in optimizing our coffee processes, developing our expertise, and growing our global network. Be it picking, drying, sorting, evaluating or communicating, our company is committed to doing it with diligence and assiduity.

Empathy.

We believe that caring for and listening to the people we work with, is crucial in doing our work well. We are eager to hear and learn from our farmers as well as our partners around the world as they share their needs and professional insights with us. We seek to develop our sensitivity to perceive and our capacity to meet our farmers’ and their communities’ needs as they are often among the most vulnerable and marginalized. Their physical, mental and spiritual well-being matter to us. If they are well, we as a company are well.

Empowerment.

We believe that the way we run our business can truly empower those we connect with. Direct trade allows us to pay our farmers a living wage rather than a subsistence wage which ensures their financial stability and self-sustainability. By doing so we give dignity and open new possibilities for the farmer and their families. As our business grows, we seek to empower not only our employees but also the different local coffee associations we are connected with. By investing in and enjoying our specialty coffee, our customers take part in shaping these stories of community transformation.

Environment.

We believe that the land we farm on deserves to be treated with respect and care. We love seeing our coffee plants thrive under the shade of the ancient Myanmar forests as gibbons howl in the tree tops and Hornbills find a resting place. We have chosen to use sustainable farming methods and find natural solutions for our farms through organic fertilizers and the inclusion of nitrogen rich trees.

Ethical Leadership.

We believe that running a business is not just about profitability but comes with social and environmental responsibility. As a company we set high standards for ourselves. That’s  why our training is not only focused on coffee, but also on moral and ethical skills. Our hope is that our farmers and leaders will in turn pass on and live out our standards of integrity, open communication, trusting relationships and financial transparency.
